Earlier this month I hosted a 5 day challenge called The YouTube Breakthrough Challenge. It was an epic turnout, with hundreds of beautiful teachers and leaders. You can look forward to YouTube being a little brighter now that there’s a new crop of heart centered YouTubers on the loose 😎
There was SO MUCH teaching crammed into the 5 days, and I’m happy to say that a whopping 100% of the participants said they felt more confident posting to YouTube than before the challenge. That was awesome to hear! But here’s the thing….they aren’t more confident because of the tech stuff they learned, or the speaking techniques. I mean, that stuff certainly HELPED, but here’s the truth:
They’re more confident because I taught them the one thing that really matters – Delusional Thinking.

Please listen to me very carefully….blind delusion is the key ingredient to your business success. It is the key ingredient to any accomplishment, really.
Steve Jobs was delusional. Margaret Atwood is delusional. Serena Williams is delusional. Basically, any great accomplishment MUST come from delusion. Delusion, my friend, is the key to a life well lived.
If I had to sum up my message over the last 15 years it’s this: Get Delusional With Your Life.

Most people aren’t brave enough to do this because it seems risky. “What if it doesn’t work? What if my dreams don’t come to pass? What if I fall flat on my face?” But here’s the secret to living in Deluluville – Remember that your life is going to end.
The fact that life has an ending means….
- The very nature of life is that there are no real risks
- There is no such thing as failure
- There is no skin in the game
- This whole thing is a finite lottery ticket
- We might as well paint with all the colors (this journey is temporary after all!)
The Steps for Living a Delusional (& Profitable) Life
Step 1 – Choose the see this whole experience as one giant lottery ticket art project
Step 2 – Honor the ideas that come through your mind. This means WRITE THEM DOWN!
Step 3 – Accept the fact that your ideas come with frustration, fear, and doubt. This is a natural side effect of having great ideas. The very nature of this whole process is that you’re bringing your BIG & DELUSIONAL ideas into the world. This is going to come with sensations and emotions.
Step 4 – Sit down with your delusional dreams & ideas, and start taking them seriously. This means start taking little baby steps to bring them into the world
Step 5 – Sell your ideas on the marketplace in exchange for money. There’s a reason your ideas were given to you, and it’s not so that you can sit on them and take them to your grave! It’s so that you can help others with them.
When you sell your products and services, the people you sell them to value the solutions you provide. Sell your goods and services for a price that makes you happy!
Step 6 – Do this over and over again. Keep going. Keep following the energy and flow. And stay DELUSIONAL with all of life.
