Look. I’m not Jeff Bezos or Alex Hormozi, and I don’t want to be. I do not make $10 million a year, and I couldn’t care less about collecting porches in an oversized house with eight bedrooms I never use. I’m not here to tell you how to build a yacht-fund.
I’ve never seen myself as a “business woman” and I’ve never considered what I do to promote my work as “marketing”.
When I started my business 15 years ago, I was a broke-yet-passionate personal trainer on a mission to help as many women as I could to feel their best. 15 years later, I can look back and say in all honesty you should NOT start a “business”. To make great money online you just need to show up and help people. It’s really that simple.
This ground breaking strategy will beat any business model any day of the week.
If you’re currently resisting any part of the work because you feel you aren’t “good” at online business, I will gently take that excuse off your shoulders right now. If you have a service and benefit to offer the world, you’ve got yourself the seeds of a “good” online business.
The More “Out There” Tips for Online Business
Over the last year I started a new consulting & education business. I help business owners to grow their profits and do their deep work in the world. Here’s what I’ve learned after working with hundreds of light-filled business owners like you.
- The #1 thing holding you back is the beliefs you carry about what’s possible. What you believe is true for you ends up dictating the actions you take.
- Taking action is the best way to transform your limiting beliefs. After working with hundreds of people, I can say without hesitation, the ones who take the most action have dissolved their limiting beliefs the fastest.
- The more resistance you feel about taking action, the greater the payoff will be from just DOING IT. This is a law as reliable as gravity.
It feels important for me to mention that business is a body-mind-spirit endeavor. I could write a few hundred pages on this topic, but the three tips above are a very good starting place….and might be all you need honestly.
The Simple Steps to Making Money Online
Here it is. Online business made super duper simple. Not much in life is guaranteed…but I can guarantee that the simple keys I offer here are reliable for building a profitable online business.
Step 1 – Make the choice.
I’ve said this so many times, I’m sure you’re sick of hearing it. But there is absolutely NOTHING that will work if you don’t choose to make your online business real. There’s also NOTHING that can stop you once you make the choice.
If you don’t make the choice, self-sabotage is inevitable. The siren song of procrastination and “I’ll do it tomorrow” are like heroin to the fence riders. Choice is what gets your rocket ship OFF the damn ground. Choice is the launching pad that is NOT optional.
“I choose to commit to this work. I choose to put 100% of my heart into this business. I choose to nurture this business and all the customers it serves. And so it is.”
Step 2 – Make Good Offers, Sell Good Products.
Put together products, services, and experiences that solve your people’s problems. Ask yourself “What do my people REALLY need help with? How can I help them solve that problem in a way that is JOYFUL?”
Step 3 – Promote Your Offers to Your People.
Many business owners put together offers, mention it once, and then say “it didn’t sell!”. Well, of course it didn’t. You mentioned it once on an instagram post that nobody saw. Your audience is busy. They’re living ENTIRE LIVES that have nothing to do with you. They really need you to tell them on a regular basis what you’re offering.
Think of it like this….how do you expect people to buy your products if they literally don’t know you’re selling them?
So, mention your offerings in your content on a regular basis. Put your offerings in your emails. Have easy to find purchase links. Go on other people’s podcasts and talk about your offerings. Put on workshops in your area to promote your offerings.
If you’re not mentioning your website and offerings in 90% of your content, it’s time to ask yourself “why?”.
The Art of Good Content …That ALSO Sells Your Stuff
The key to creating content that sells your products and services is the following:
- You must make good, authentic, soulful content that actually helps your people.
- You must also mention your products and services and some point in at least some of your videos and articles.
If you continually focus on vanity metrics and getting popular on Instagram and YouTube, but you don’t actually have an offer in there, your profits will never grow.
Since 2009, nearly every video I’ve ever posted included an offer or promotion for whatever I’m selling at the moment. And not once has anyone ever complained about this. Why? Because I’m creating videos and articles that are GENUINELY helpful.
I’m not creating a bunch of commercials…but I AM letting people know that I can help them even more with my products and services.

It beats the heck out of biting your nails going through an existential crisis about all of this. lol. The ego LOVES to create mountains out of mole hills. All of this is as simple as showing up and doing what you know you’ve been wanting to do for years. The profits are just a very nice side-effect.
