The Trap of “Thought Work”
The biggest hurdle in the manifestation world is the obsession with micromanaging your thoughts. We’re told that if we aren’t joyful 24/7, we’ll attract negativity. That is total BS.
I built a successful business and traveled the world while I was clinically depressed and anxious. You can make money regardless of your nervous system state. The problem with “thought work” is that it keeps you trapped in the very prison that created the problem. You aren’t your thoughts; you are the space those thoughts happen in.
The Power of Being (Capital B, Capital E)
Manifestation often feels like a “gimme, gimme” game. We’re constantly looking for life to prove we’re good enough. But true actualization happens when you stop worrying about what you’re getting and start focusing on who you are being.
If you want to be a successful business owner, you have to be that now. Not “vibrate” like one—be one. That means:
- Less Thinking, More Feeling: Stop trying to think your way out of a bad mood. Sit with the pain, observe it, and let it pass through you.
- Surrender the “How”: Stop touching the situation. When you get your hands off the steering wheel, you allow an organic unfolding of joy and clarity.
Massive Mediocre Action
This is the part the “New Age” community usually skips. Your soul wants to experience you growing new capabilities and branches. This requires you to get your butt in the chair and take messy, uncomfortable action.
The universe isn’t going to drop a Lamborghini in your driveway while you’re busy visualizing. It wants to see you use the body and the will you were given.
- The “CEO” Shift: Being a CEO doesn’t mean you feel perfect; it means you send the email, you film the video, and you learn the copywriting even when it’s boring.
- Practical Tools are Spiritual: Using project management software like Asana is a manifestation tool. Mapping out steps to finish your website is a spiritual act because it’s you embodying the person you claim you want to be.
Summary: The New Blueprint for Actualization
- You are not your thoughts: Stop trying to “think” your way to success. Step into the observer role.
- Feelings aren’t “wrong”: Don’t gaslight yourself. You can be successful and feel disharmony at the same time.
- Embody the result now: Don’t wait for the universe to give you permission. Act from the identity of the person who already has what you want.
- Action is the bridge: Take massive, mediocre action. Perfectionism is just another way of staying stuck in your head.
